Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo “collided” during a karting race organized by Honda
Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen took part in a karting race during the Honda Racing 2023 Thanks Day. The Australian slightly bumped into his former teammate, causing him to fall to the back of the race. It was a funny moment that made the on-site audience laugh.

Did you not see Max Verstappen being spun around during this year 2023? Well, on December 2nd, the Dutch driver had a slight collision. Japanese engine supplier Honda, providing power units to Red Bull and AlphaTauri, organized a karting race during the Honda Racing 2023 Thanks Day. The event was broadcasted on the official Honda Racing Global YouTube channel.
Among the participants, we naturally found the regulars from the Red Bull stable in F1: Sergio Perez, Yuki Tsunoda, Daniel Ricciardo, and Max Verstappen, clad in their F1 racing suits. The MotoGP riders participating in this championship by the Japanese manufacturer were also present, such as the 2020 world champion Joan Mir and the Japanese rider Takaaki Nakagami.

A little collision that makes you laugh
In the broadcast images of this race, we can see Daniel Ricciardo cutting one of the corners of the track, before spinning the triple Formula 1 world champion and making him rejoin the race at the back of the pack, in last place.
The slight contact between the Dutch and the Australian did not fail to make the event commentators laugh. Max Verstappen did not step onto the highest step of the podium in a race to hoist the winner’s trophy, after his 19 F1 victories this year.
