Lando Norris invited to the Parc des Princes by Paris Saint Germain

Lando Norris was invited by PSG to attend the French championship match in the VIP box at the Parc des Princes. The McLaren driver was able to tread the stadium's turf and perform a few juggling tricks, with a PSG jersey flocked "Lando 4" on his back.

No, Paris Saint-Germain did not sign Lando Norris as a new addition to their squad. The McLaren driver was merely invited by the club to attend a VIP box at the French championship match between PSG and FC Metz on December 20 last. The McLaren driver also received a jersey with ‘Lando 4’ imprinted on it from the club.

It is not the first time that the Briton has been present in a football stadium to attend a match. During Euro 2021, the native of Bristol had attended the final between England and Italy. After the meeting, he was assaulted by two men who stole his watch, worth about 50,000 euros.

Norris was also present at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, last December 23, in London, to attend the English Premier League championship match between the clubs of Tottenham and Everton.

Connections between the worlds of football and F1 through Qatar

PSG has already invited F1 drivers to the Parc des Princes. Pierre Gasly, a fan of the club, has already been invited to the stadium by the Parisian president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and has also received a jersey printed with ”Gasly 10”.

Present in F1 since 2021 with the first Qatar Grand Prix in the history of the top category of motor sport, the Gulf country is betting on these two disciplines watched by millions of spectators around the world to maintain its soft power. The owner of PSG is none other than Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.
