Max Verstappen wins family karting race in Brazil
Opposed to Nelson Piquet Sr, the children of the three-time Brazilian world champion, as well as the 2016 Nascar Xfinity Series champion, during a karting race in Brazil, Max Verstappen took another victory in 2023.

19 main race victories and four in Sprint during the year 2023, it seems that this is not enough for Max Verstappen. The Dutchman achieved a new victory in a karting race, on the eve of Christmas, at the Brasilia Kart circuit, in the company of another triple world champion, Nelson Piquet Sr, Verstappen’s stepfather.
A family race since Nelson Piquet Jr, former driver for Renault F1 and world champion of Formula E 2015, Daniel Suarez, champion of Nascar Xfinity Series 2016 and fiancé of Julia Piquet, as well as Rodrigo Piquet were present.
Verstappen never stops winning
In the Brazilian night, Max Verstappen, helmet totally white fixed on his head, started from the last place. Accustomed to incredible comebacks in F1, like during the Russian Grand Prix in 2021 where he started last, before finishing second or even at Spa-Francorchamps in 2022 where he won the race after starting 14th, the Dutchman leads the race from the end of the first lap.

He won this karting race, a few moments later, but did not achieve the fastest lap on the track, despite a stopwatch at 1:05.946 minutes. The fastest lap was made by Rodrigo Piquet, silver medalist of this race.
