After numerous teasing videos on its social media, McLaren has dropped an unexpected surprise. The Woking team has directly unveiled its brand new livery for the 2024 season. The future MCL38 will be dressed in orange and black, as it has been for the past few seasons, abandoning the pastel blue.

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who will be driving it during this 2024 season, were able to express themselves and react to the unveiling of their new ride.

Lando Norris is the first to show his enthusiasm about the new MCL38. (He) said, “I am excited to begin the new season. It will be my sixth in Formula 1, and I hope to capitalize on the momentum we gained as a team at the end of last season to start strong in Bahrain. The new livery is fantastic […], I’m sure the fans will appreciate it as much as I do.”

(Everyone at the factory worked incredibly hard during the break, and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the 2024 car to challenge our competitors at the front of the grid), the Briton concluded.

On his side, the 2023 Rookie of the Year, Oscar Piastri, finds the livery of 2024 really cool, and I can’t wait to race in McLaren’s iconic colors for a second season. I created special memories with the team during my first year as a driver, with two podium finishes and a Sprint race victory, said the Australian.

“I will work hard alongside the whole team to deliver results at the start of the new season and compete strongly with our competitors, in order to provide fans with more memorable moments,” he concluded. The Woking team will unveil their true race car during an event on February 14th.
