McLaren extends Lando Norris’ contract
Like Ferrari the day before, who announced the contract extension of Charles Leclerc, McLaren announces that their star driver, Lando Norris, will stay with the British team for several seasons.

The contract extension announcements are piling up as the end of the season will be marked by the end of contracts for many drivers. Today, it is McLaren who has just announced the contract extension of Lando Norris.
Arriving at McLaren for his first Formula 1 season in 2018, the British team has announced the contract extension of their 24-year-old driver. Lando Norris will therefore remain at McLaren for several seasons, and McLaren has already secured their driver duo for 2026.

“It’s a great feeling to stay with McLaren. I grew up with McLaren and I feel at home here, the team is like a family to me,” Norris said. “The journey so far has been exciting, with ups and downs, but last season showed our determination to return to competition at the top of the grid.”
The work accomplished by Zak, Andrea, and the whole team over the past year has been incredible, and I am confident in our ability to compete for victories with McLaren,” he continued. “I am looking forward to creating new exceptional memories and continuing to work hard with everyone at the McLaren Technology Centre in the coming years.
