The McLaren MP4/4 world champion in 1988 with Ayrton Senna is available in Lego version. The toy brand has made this set available for pre-order before its official release on March 1st.

After announcing the release of the Mercedes W14, Lego is now launching pre-orders for the McLaren MP4/4 made with bricks from the famous toy brand. The release is scheduled for March 1st.
693 pieces will have to be assembled in order to build this world champion car in 1988 with Ayrton Senna, the Brazilian’s first title. Once fully assembled, the toy is 13 centimeters high, 63 centimeters long, and 26 centimeters wide. The price is set at 79.99 euros by Lego. A figure of the triple Brazilian world champion is included in the set.
An extremely dominant single-seater car.
This MP4/4 was one of the most dominant Formula 1 cars in history. It was powered by a 1.6-liter Honda V6 engine. During the 1988 season, Senna became the world champion with 90 points, three ahead of his teammate Alain Prost.
The British team wins 15 out of the 16 races of the season, as well as securing their fourth constructor’s title in their history. The Brazilian triumphs in eight occasions, while the French driver achieves the other seven victories. Only the Italian Grand Prix, in Monza, will elude McLaren. Both drivers retired, allowing the Ferrari team to claim a double victory on home soil.
