Bahrain winter tests: Pirelli unveils each team’s tire allocation
This may be one of the first indications of the programs that the teams will carry out. This Tuesday, the Formula 1 manufacturer unveiled the tire allocations for each team, and there are a few things to note.

The ten teams are gathering this week in Bahrain for the pre-season testing before kicking off the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship. As before each Grand Prix weekend, the teams must select the tire compounds they wish, within the regulatory limits, to use during these winter tests.
Pirelli, the official and exclusive tire manufacturer in Formula 1 since 2011, unveiled on Tuesday the different tire allocations selected by each team. This allocation can be found in the infographic below.
On the contrary, Mercedes is the team with the fewest hard tires selected. In total, each team has access to 35 sets of tires, in addition to the four allowed for rainy conditions.
Teams should not, however, have to use them. Unlike the F2 preseason tests, rain is not expected this week in Sakhir.
