This is the off-field affair that is shaking up the world of Formula 1, and the subject has obviously resurfaced in the paddocks of Bahrain during pre-season testing. As a reminder, the director of Red Bull Racing was the subject of an investigation against him and allegations and statements have been escalating in recent days.

Speaking to the media in Bahrain, Toto Wolff was the only team principal to comment on Red Bull’s investigation targeting Christian Horner. “I believe that Formula 1 and the teams stand for inclusion, equality, fairness, and diversity,” the Austrian director said.

(English) We are a global sport and one of the most important sporting platforms in the world. We are role models, but that being said, there has been a lot of speculation in recent weeks. What is most important at this stage of the process in which Red Bull has launched an independent investigation is [that it is conducted] properly with transparency and rigor.

“Tot Wolff pushed F1 to learn from this because it’s a problem that concerns everyone involved in the sport. It is something we need to work on, what the outcomes are and what it means for Formula 1, and how we can learn from it,” he added.

We want to talk about the track rather than these very critical issues that are more than a team problem. It’s a problem for all of Formula 1 and for every individual working here.

The investigation is ongoing internally on Red Bull’s side, and for now, Christian Horner is indeed present in the Bahrain paddocks.
