Günther Steiner occasional consultant for Canal+
In addition to Channel 10, an Australian channel, and RTL, a German channel, Günther Steiner will be a consultant for Canal+ on some races. The announcement was made on the day of the Bahrain Grand Prix, Saturday, live on television.
Motors Inside announced a few days ago that Günther Steiner was returning to F1 as a consultant, but Canal+ had deliberately kept from us the fact that it would also be for French television.
The former managing director of Haas, whose contract was not renewed in 2024 by Haas CEO Gene Haas, will therefore make a return to several Formula 1 circuits to share his views on certain TV channels. In addition to RTL and Channel 10, Canal+ has managed to secure some time with Günther Steiner so that he can also express his feelings on the encrypted French television.
Günther Steiner was the team principal of the Haas team since the arrival of the American team until this winter, when he was dismissed. He also served as the team principal for Romain Grosjean for several seasons, the French-Swiss driver who also provides commentary on Canal+. Romain Grosjean is once again working with his former team principal.
At the moment, we do not yet know on which races Günther Steiner will be present for Canal+. During Canal’s F1 season presentation a few days ago, he was not yet scheduled.
