Bob Bell officially recruited by Aston Martin
A few hours ago, we announced Bob Bell's departure from his consultant role at Alpine and the Renault group. In the end, it is Aston Martin that has recruited the former technical director of Renault, with nearly 40 years of experience in F1.
Aston Martin Aramco has announced the arrival of Bob Bell as the new technical director. The Englishman had announced the end of his collaboration with Alpine a few hours ago. Bob Bell will be under the direct responsibility of Mike Krack, team director.

Bob Bell started in F1 in 1987 at McLaren and worked on the development of the MP4/4 driven by Senna and Prost, notably. He also helped Renault win their F1 world champion titles with Fernando Alonso driving the RS25 and RS26. Alonso, who is also now with Aston Martin. Bob Bell was also at Mercedes before returning to Renault in 2016 as a technical director, and since 2018 as a consultant.
