Broadcast at 6 p.m. French time, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah will be broadcasted on Canal+. Every year, as required by French law for sports accessibility, F1 and Canal+ are obliged to offer 6 races for free throughout the season. The other races are not yet known, but Saudi Arabia is the first one of 2024.

Attention, like last week, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix race will take place on Saturday. The grid will start at 5pm and will be available to watch on Canal+ for free. The qualifications will be available on Canal+ at 5:40pm on Friday but won’t be free to watch.

Why run a race on Saturday?

Saudi Arabia, the host country of this second event on the F1 calendar, is a Muslim country. Ramadan will begin on Sunday, March 10 at midnight. It was therefore not conceivable for the personnel working on the circuit and the spectators to finish very late on Sunday, and therefore out of respect for the country, the race had to be moved to Saturday.
