Max Verstappen on top of the world for the 58th time, his first in China
Max Verstappen confirmed his domination of the Chinese Grand Prix with another victory on Sunday morning. The Dutch driver made no secret of his delight at driving such a good car.

Four wins out of five Grand Prix in the early season. A top-of-the-world start for Max Verstappen who secured another victory at the Shanghai International Circuit in China this Sunday morning ahead of Lando Norris and his teammate Sergio Perez. The triple world champion once again shows that he has no competition on the circuit this season. It is worth noting that the Red Bull driver crossed the finish line with more than thirteen seconds ahead of McLaren driver Lando Norris.
A 58th victory
Max Verstappen is on a winning streak and secured his 58th Formula 1 victory this Sunday. However, it was his first win in Shanghai after a quite disrupted race with the deployment of the safety car twice. The first time was to clear Bottas’ car after an engine failure and the second time after a collision between Ricciardo and Stroll, and Tsunoda and Magnussen. Unfazed, Max Verstappen soared in a car that seemed to come from another world.
« It was obviously very satisfying. The car was a little more balanced than yesterday. I was able to manage my tires well, it was very pleasant. With the safety car I lost my lead so I had to recreate the gap. I felt comfortable and the pace was good, I had to focus on the restart to avoid making big mistakes. I was solely focused on my race, said the three-time reigning world champion on Canal+, who had never won in China before.
The Dutchman remains firmly at the top of the championship with 110 points, 25 points more than his teammate Sergio Perez who is in second place in the championship with 85 points. On the constructor championship side, Red Bull is soaring with 195 points after only 5 races this season. See you next May 5th at the star circuit in Miami.
