During the third free practice session of the Monaco Grand Prix, an incident occurred between Lando Norris and George Russell at turn 10. This incident resulted in a reprimand for Norris for violating Article 33.4 of the FIA Formula 1 sporting regulations.

At 1:15 pm, during the Free Practice 3 session, Norris and Russell found themselves involved in a tense situation at the exit of the tunnel, approaching turn 10. The stewards determined that Lando Norris had deliberately moved his car towards George Russell’s to express his discontent after his lap was affected by the Mercedes at the exit of the tunnel. Norris indeed complained on the radio about Russell’s blocking at that point. « Although this move was not dangerous in this case, such action could potentially lead to a dangerous situation and should be avoided in the future », according to a statement from the FIA.

As a result, a reprimand has been imposed on Lando Norris. This is the second reprimand of the season for the British driver.

The commissioners emphasized the importance of avoiding this kind of behavior, even though, this time, no dangerous consequences resulted from it. They reminded that safety must remain a top priority in all actions of drivers on the track.
