Charles Leclerc receives a fine on the sidelines of free practice in Montreal
On this first day of testing in Canada, Charles Leclerc was penalized for not using the correct tires during free practice 2.

The rain disrupted everyone’s day in Montreal but it also cost Charles Leclerc dearly.
At the beginning of the second practice session, the Scuderia driver left the pit lane on intermediate tires despite the fact that the track had not been declared wet. He then returned to the pits after one lap. This constitutes a violation of the article which does not authorize the use of intermediate or wet tires until the track has been declared wet by the race director.
After examination by the commissioners, he receives a fine of 5000 euros.
