Will sanctions already be imposed before the Spanish Grand Prix qualifications? Four drivers are in any case summoned at 2pm to meet with the FIA stewards in Barcelona.

Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and Lance Stroll are all required to appear before the governing body for a potential alleged violation of Article 33.4 of the FIA Formula 1 Sporting Regulations.

Regarding the first two, the incident occurred at 1:29 pm during Free Practice 3. Lando Norris visibly hindered Charles Leclerc, who allegedly drove into him, as the Briton indicated on the radio. For his part, the Monegasque was furious, wondering what the McLaren driver was doing.

Lewis Hamilton also found himself in the way of Lance Stroll this time, at 1:18 p.m. The seven-time world champion immediately admitted his mistake on the radio: “Sorry, I didn’t see him, it’s my fault,” he admitted without hesitation. The Canadian was clearly upset: “Does he think he’s alone on the track?” he exclaimed on the radio.

Remains to be seen if they will be sanctioned for their actions. Stay tuned…
