Logan Sargeant penalized three places for the Austrian Grand Prix
Qualifying last at the Spanish Grand Prix, Logan Sargeant received a three-place penalty for an action deemed dangerous on the track during qualifying. This penalty is carried over to the Austrian Grand Prix.

The morale definitely should not be high for Logan Sargeant. In great difficulty this season, constantly beaten by his teammate Alex Albon and at great risk of losing his seat next year, the American has just been penalized three places this Saturday.
After being summoned and heard by the officials, the Williams driver was found guilty of having unnecessarily impeded Lance Stroll at turn 10 during the qualifying session.
At 4:09 PM, Logan Sargeant was reported for blocking Lance Stroll. The stewards took into account the videos, team radio communications, and onboard recordings to evaluate the incident. Although Sargeant reacted upon seeing Stroll in his mirrors, he was not informed in time by his team of the arrival of the Aston Martin driver, which led to the interference.
According to Article 37.5 of the FIA Formula 1 Sporting Regulations, Logan Sargeant has been penalized with a three-place grid drop for the next race, the Austrian Grand Prix, as he is already starting from the back of the grid tomorrow in Barcelona.
