Lando Norris voted Driver of the Day in Spain
Pole position, podium and Driver of the Day once again, this time on the Barcelona circuit. Lando Norris once again put the pressure on his rivals at Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix. He was once again voted Driver of the Day.

Starting in pole position this Sunday on the Barcelona circuit, Lando Norris was not lucky. After a completely missed start, everything had to be done again for the Briton. A outraged and determined Norris who did not fail to catch up despite George Russell’s incredible performance at the first turn. The Bristol native once again showed aggressiveness to catch up with his competitors and challenge the race leader. Lap after lap, the McLaren driver managed to regain his first place as leader twice, notably thanks to the different pit stops before finally being overtaken by Max Verstappen on the 48th lap.
The Dutchman did not fail to also pick up the good old habits and inflict a 7.6-second lead on the Briton. The 24-year-old driver did not give up, nibbling tenth after tenth, he managed to catch up with the triple world champion by just 2.2 seconds. Unfortunately, this was not enough to definitively regain his place as leader and cross the finish line first, but once again, Lando Norris showed tremendous pressure that allowed him to secure another podium ahead of Lewis Hamilton. We will note the strategy of the McLaren driver who decided to settle for two pit stops with medium and soft tires.
A podium, points and a second place in the overall standings.
Lando Norris may not have won on this Barcelona circuit, but he shone. This new podium gives him an extra 18 points and puts him in second place in the drivers’ standings this season behind Max Verstappen (219 points) and ahead of Charles Leclerc (148 points). The Monegasque is not far behind, and everything still seems possible. The Briton seems to be having an incredible season, which also helps to place McLaren in the top 3 in the constructors’ standings this season with 124 points behind Red Bull and Ferrari.
The next meeting will take place in Austria at the Spielberg circuit on June 30th.
