At Silverstone, three teams have brought a lot of innovations, the factory near the circuit helping in logistics. Mercedes and McLaren bring a specific aerodynamic setup to the Silverstone track. Alpine, Ferrari, and Williams arrive empty-handed.

The teams are required to declare the new features added to the single-seaters this weekend either as part of aerodynamic testing during free practice, or as part of their use in the race. For the past two years, the new features have been disclosed by the FIA.

So, at Silverstone, if we look at the new features introduced, three teams stand out: Mercedes, McLaren, and Haas.

With its two British drivers, Mercedes is aiming for a victory in England and is bringing here a complete aerodynamic package: front wing, rear wing, and new F-Ducts to cool the brakes.

On its side, McLaren, based not far from there in Woking, also brings a specific set-up to the Silverstone circuit. Including a new rear wing, but especially modified beam wings, these wings located behind the engine, below the rear wing. These wings are the key in particular that allowed Red Bull to make its ground effect work better than its competitors. In addition to these rear wings, McLaren brings a new engine cover to improve cooling.

Haas, on the other hand, has gone all out on the floor. In addition to a new floor, Haas also brings side pontoons to the different engine sides and thus arranges all its engine cover cooling. The diffuser exit is also modified. Finally, a small but not least aerodynamic drag design change, Haas brings a new design for the mirrors.

On the Red Bull side, the team announces slight modifications to its floor. Aston Martin has brought an adapted front wing and new brake cooling ducts (F-Duct), while Alfa Romeo has modified its floor entry behind the front wheels.

Some teams arrive without any technical innovation.

No new developments brought for Alpine this weekend at Silverstone, for the team based in Enstone, just a few hundred kilometers from the circuit. This is also the case for Williams and Scuderia Ferrari, who are not counting on Silverstone to progress with new developments but rather to learn from their car and optimize their setup.
