The movie about Formula 1 with Brad Pitt has a name… F1
After announcing a few weeks ago its release date, the film produced by Apple Original Films, in association with Formula 1, now has an official title: it will be called F1.

Some may certainly criticize the lack of originality in the title. Still, the film about F1 continues its promotion as it has just revealed its name: it will be called F1 instead of Apex as previously mentioned.
This production by Joseph Kosinski will follow the adventures of Sonny Hayes (played by Brad Pitt), a former Formula 1 driver who mentors his novice teammate Joshua Pierce (played by Idris Damson).
A superb opportunity for Formula 1 and notably Liberty Media, the owner of the Formula 1 rights since 2017, to promote this discipline in the United States, which is one of the main objectives of the American firm created by John C. Malone. The Formula promoter has therefore given free rein to the film director by allowing him to move around and take pictures in the paddock, as will be the case this weekend at Silverstone where Brad Pitt himself will be present to film some sequences of the movie, with Formula 2 prototypes provided by the Mercedes team.
The film, co-produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Brad Pitt, and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, is set to be released in theaters and in IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures on June 25, 2025, internationally and in North America on June 27. Ahead of its official release, a teaser of the film will be available on the international broadcast just before the British Grand Prix this Sunday, July 7 at 3:33 pm (Paris time), giving fans a first glimpse of the film.
