But where will Esteban Ocon go? It is one of the transfers whose outcome should be reached soon. The Frenchman knows he will not continue with Alpine next season and is now looking for a seat for 2025.

Several options are available to him, including Audi and Haas, who have confirmed a deep interest in the Norman. Williams could also be a future solution as Carlos Sainz’s case is starting to fade due to a rapprochement between the Spaniard and Alpine. However, Ocon announces it: the destination he chooses will have nothing to do with what Carlos Sainz decides.

Arrival at Haas considered

Even though he did not want to disclose too much information about his future, the Frenchman reportedly had discussions with Haas, and the American team’s boss, Ayao Komatsu, admitted that he was the main target for the team to strengthen and support the new arrival, young British driver Ollie Bearman, recently praised by the French driver on Canal +: (e) Congratulations to [Oliver Bearman], he deserves to enter Formula 1, he has shown great things in Formula 2 recently. It’s cool that he can now enter the big time.

« For me, yes, it’s going very well. I hope to be able to speak a little more in the next races that are coming up », added the Frenchman with a big smile who is approaching the rest of the season with serenity, he who revealed that his position on the starting grid for the next season is developing at a good pace behind the scenes », with many opportunities that are available to him.

« There are good discussions going on at the moment. I am happy with how things are going, obviously. » However, the Ebroician hopes that his situation will be resolved before the summer break, as he is currently one of the drivers without a contract for next year after being dismissed from Alpine following 5 years of collaboration. The Frenchman recently declared that there is nothing announced at the moment.

A worrying situation that can be explained by the expectation to see the decision Carlos Sainz will make, who is currently in discussions with the same teams as the French driver, but is not willing to make a quick decision given that the new 2026 regulations also raise many questions, as Esteban Ocon explains: « I think that 2026 will be interesting because there will be much less freedom in terms of aerodynamics. From there, who will have the best suspension, the best power unit? All of this will play an important role in terms of performance.”

While waiting to learn more about his future, the Frenchman is trying to prepare as best as possible for the Silverstone weekend. There is nothing to announce at the moment. But I let my management team take care of all that. I am very focused on what I have to do on the track.
