Lando Norris appreciates his podium despite his poor decisions
Lando Norris did not cross the finish line in first place, but once again made it to the podium this season. The British driver is frustrated to have made the wrong decisions but still appreciates his new podium.

Starting third on the grid, Lando Norris finished the race in the same position and secured another podium, this time at home during the British Grand Prix. Despite a good race overall and leading for some laps, mistakes were made, especially during his final pit stop. The British driver mishandled his stop and lost two valuable seconds, allowing Lewis Hamilton to overtake him, followed by Max Verstappen.
A few mistakes for sure but that wasn’t enough to discourage him. The McLaren driver takes the last step of the podium behind Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, two British drivers who honor this English race.
« First of all, congratulations to Lewis Hamilton. The decision was crucial in the end and they did a very good job. It was difficult, it was enjoyable to fight against those guys there and in difficult conditions. We are always on a razor’s edge. Many good things and a few little things that didn’t work out. I think that as a team we didn’t do everything we needed to do, but it’s still nice to be on the podium. I didn’t make the best decisions, I blame myself for not making the best decisions. I won’t look for excuses but I am still very happy. We achieved many good things, good positive things to keep particularly here at Silverstone, at home. I would have liked everything to go the best way possible, but I will come back even stronger next year and I will try again, revealed Lando Norris at the end of the race.
The 24-year-old driver therefore scores an additional 18 points and consolidates his second place in the drivers’ standings this season, but the gap continues to widen with Max Verstappen.
