Even before the first day of running at Zandvoort, members of the Williams team, specifically those connected to single-seater operations, broke the curfew imposed on all teams.

The regulation specifies that no team member is allowed inside the circuit for 14 hours. This period starts 18 hours before the first free practice session and ends 4 hours before it. In the Netherlands, FP1 will start this Friday at 12:30 pm. Therefore, the curfew started on Thursday at 6:30 pm and ended on Friday morning at 8:30 am.

Each team can break curfew three times throughout a season. For Williams, this was their first violation of the rule and the British team will therefore not be sanctioned by the FIA.

After a difficult start to the season, Williams currently has four points in the constructors’ championship, all scored by Alexander Albon.
