This week, Formula 1 is making a stop in Monza for the Italian Grand Prix, the sixteenth round of the season. This race marks the second visit to Italy this year, after the Imola race earlier in the season. With many announcements expected in Monza, especially regarding new features on the starting grid, Monza will once again captivate fans worldwide. Especially since the future of the circuit in the F1 calendar is uncertain after 2025.

Last year, it was Max Verstappen who triumphed over the weekend. However, with a tight drivers’ standings this season and several different winners in recent Grand Prix races, victory is no longer guaranteed for the Dutch champion. Every point counts this year for the world championship title.

Monza is also a special race for Ferrari, the Italian team is the local hero. The Tifosis (name given to Ferrari supporters) will be numerous to come and support their drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, hoping to see one of them climb to the top step of the podium. Charles Leclerc recently secured third place in Zandvoort and revived the hope for a Ferrari victory on Italian soil.
