Globant teams up with Williams after Franco Colapinto transfer
The British team has just announced a new partnership with digital transformation company Globant. The partnership has been made possible by the fact that Argentinian Franco Colapinto will remain with Williams for the rest of the season.

The recent decision by Williams seems to have already had financial effects. In the middle of the Italian Grand Prix week, the Grove team decided to replace its American driver Logan Sargeant with young Argentinean Franco Colapinto, a Formula 2 driver and member of the Williams academy. A choice that quickly allowed Williams to welcome a new sponsor into its structure: Globant.
Globant joins Williams thanks to Colapinto
This software development company, which now has more than 29,000 employees, was founded in 2003 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the hometown of Colapinto, who drives for MP Motorsport. This company, led by Martín Migoya, is very involved in the young driver’s career and even provided him with financial support by contributing to part of the 4.5 million paid by Colapinto to take Sargeant’s place. Despite some concerns about this decision, James Vowles, the team boss, trusts his young driver and is pleased with the acquisition of a new sponsor.
(e) I am delighted to welcome Globant to Williams Racing as Argentina prepares to mark its final milestone in Formula 1. This partnership brings together two organizations driven by innovation and a passion for delivering unparalleled experiences to fans, and we are looking forward to working together starting this weekend in Monza.
This partnership therefore reflects the ambitions of the two companies, with Williams hoping to attract new sponsors through Colapinto, while Globant aims to bring fans closer to the action and demonstrate its enthusiasm for the sport by making Williams its first partner in Formula 1.
On his side, Martín Migoya, co-founder and CEO of Globant, is delighted to be able to collaborate with such a prestigious team as Williams through a driver he has been supporting for several years and who will become the first Argentine driver in F1 since Gastón Mazzacane in 2001.
« We are proud to join Williams Racing, an icon in one of the most technologically advanced sports in the world. We love dreamers, and Franco Colapinto has achieved his dream through his talent, determination, and hard work. Now that he has secured a seat in Formula 1, we want to continue supporting him, as well as the team that has been with him throughout his journey. As the largest technology company in Latin America serving the global market, we are committed to transforming the sports industry, providing solutions to bring fans closer to the game, and enhancing every experience.
Financial support needed for the British team.
This partnership, which expands Globant’s work with elite sports organizations, including FIFA and the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team, also demonstrates Williams’ ambitions, as they strive to recruit both on and off the track to return to the top and win world titles again.
Outside of Globant, the Grove team has already acquired many sponsors this season, such as Komatsu, Keeper Security, and VAST Data. This weekend, they will have the opportunity to unveil their new sponsor when Colapinto takes to the track for the first free practice session of the Italian Grand Prix.
