Charles Leclerc named Italian Grand Prix Driver of the Day
In front of several thousand tifosi, the Ferrari driver took a magnificent victory and was voted Driver of the Day by F1 fans.

With 26% of the votes, Charles Leclerc obtained for the fourth time this season the honorary title of driver of the day. Thanks to the seventh victory of his career, the Ferrari driver set Monza racetrack ablaze with a perfectly executed race.
From the start, the 26-year-old driver managed to climb to second position by taking advantage of the battle between the two McLarens. After the first round of pit stops, Leclerc managed to perfectly preserve his hard tires, allowing him to go all the way to the checkered flag, unlike his rivals, who had to go back in front of their garage for a second time.
Like at Zandvoort a week ago, where he finished third thanks to an undercut and a perfectly controlled tire management, the Monegasque driver and his team once again applied a strategy allowing them to maximize the potential of the SF-24.
Five years after his first victory in Monza in 2019, the last one for Ferrari on its home soil, Leclerc therefore repeated the feat by making a whole country in love with his Scuderia happy and proud. Carlos Sainz’s teammate thus secures a magnificent double this season after his victory in Monaco a few months ago.
With this victory, Leclerc strengthens his third place in the championship by twenty-four points ahead of Lando Norris.
