For Alpine, now is the time for change. After recently restructuring its organization, the Enstone team took advantage of the Italian Grand Prix to unveil and celebrate the launch of its brand new motorhome in the company of its creator, Philippe Starck. The latter fully designed this mobile unit, and Alpine wanted to pay tribute to him this weekend. With this new facility, Alpine hopes to display its ambitions, having recently decided to no longer collaborate with the Viry-Châtillon factory for the design of the brand’s future engines featuring the pointed A.

A prestigious collaboration with Philippe Starck

For this new motorhome, Alpine has decided to make a strong impact by partnering with the famous Parisian designer Philippe Starck, known for his various works in fields such as architecture, interior decoration, naval and space engineering, as well as industrial design of everyday products. Thanks to his expertise and experience, Alpine entrusted him with the direction and interior design of the motorhome. He turned it into a modern, innovative, and daring structure, showcasing the ingenuity and lightness of Alpine’s engineering, while creating a warm and elegant atmosphere for fans and team members, reminiscent of the luxury of alpine chalets.

Philippe Starck has also explained the reasons for this partnership with the French team:

« The inspiration for the motorhome is the very spirit of Alpine. Alpine has that French je-ne-sais-quoi, the haute couture of motor racing. The motorhome embodies this elegance. It is neither an object nor an architecture, it is speed. Its design and construction operate like a pit stop; everyone knows exactly what they need to do, and does it with extreme speed and precision. Every element takes this into account. It is incredibly complex, high-tech, and stimulating.

A refined and environmentally friendly design

What immediately strikes with this new infrastructure is the exterior, with a front facade in satin stainless steel with machined details. The exterior structure is made up of custom steel frames, covered with panels of Alpine blue tinted glass with a mirror finish.

The interior is just as spectacular. Philippe Starck used various natural materials such as polished and textured stainless steel, warm wood, bark elements as well as leathers, demonstrating Alpine’s commitment to respecting the environment. A more pronounced dimension through this new reception unit, thanks to the use of the latest Renault Trucks models, allowing a 10% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

With its three floors dedicated to partners, VIP guests, media, and team personnel during the European races of the F1 calendar, the motorhome will be a source of attraction for the French team, allowing them to attract new fans and, perhaps, new collaborators. In the meantime, David Gendry, commercial director of the BWT Alpine F1 Team and communication director of the Alpine brand, is delighted with the construction of this new building, which should allow Alpine to face the future more serenely.

We are delighted to welcome the famous Philippe Starck to Monza, who has designed the new motorhome for the BWT Alpine F1 Team. The fantastic creative journey experienced with Philippe is a first for Alpine, and we are proud to unveil this “creation”. This ultra-modern structure will house the team, welcome our partners and guests for years to come, and is already proving to be a real success.

A project made possible thanks to Alpine’s numerous partners.

We should also note that the construction of this new hospitality unit was made possible by the investment strategy of Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners, and Maximum Effort Investments within BWT Alpine F1 Team, three partners of the French team announced in June 2023. They currently hold 24% of Alpine’s shares. With this motorhome, Alpine hopes to attract even more potential partners who can fund the team’s future projects.

Finally, the use of BWT’s filtration technologies, one of its major partners, for the entire water distribution system, and the presence of state-of-the-art equipment to communicate in its meeting rooms and workspaces, demonstrate Alpine F1 Team’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. These elements symbolize the team’s ambitions, which aims to modernize and reorganize to return to the top, both on the track and off.
