Ollie Bearman to replace Kevin Magnussen in Baku
The Briton will be racing in his second Formula 1 race in two weeks' time. He will replace Kevin Magnussen, suspended for having reached 12 penalty points on his Super Licence.

The Haas adventure will start earlier than expected. Announced as a full-time driver in 2025 for the American team, Ollie Bearman will already be driving Ayao Komatsu’s single-seater in Baku.
He will indeed replace Kevin Magnussen, who is suspended for having 12 penalty points on his Super License. The Danish driver was found guilty of a collision with Pierre Gasly at the Italian Grand Prix.
Driver #20’s behavior has not been exemplary in the past twelve months. On five occasions, the race stewards have penalized him for various dangerous actions. In Saudi Arabia (three times), he was found guilty of a collision with Alex Albon. In China (twice), the same offense, but this time with Yuki Tsunoda. In Miami, the Danish driver accumulated penalty points: three during the sprint race for repeatedly leaving the track and gaining an advantage in his battle with Lewis Hamilton. And two more during the main race for an accident with Logan Sargeant.
Ollie Bearman is going to experience his second Formula 1 Grand Prix there. At the beginning of the season, he had replaced Carlos Sainz at short notice, who had his appendix removed. He then finished in eighth place, earning six points in the process. A result that places him in 16th position in the drivers’ championship. He is ahead of men like Alex Albon, Esteban Ocon, and the two Stake drivers.
The British driver won last weekend’s sprint race at the Italian Grand Prix. The member of the Ferrari Academy had a calm race, quickly widening the gap with the rest of the pack.
