A special Gulf livery on a roadshow for Williams at the Gulf Speed Festival
Alexander Albon will stroll the streets of Sao Paulo a few days before the Brazilian GP with a special livery on his Williams. The same one used three times last season in Grand Prix.

On the occasion of the Gulf Speed Festival, which will take place on September 29th in Sao Paulo, Alex Albon will put on a show in the Brazilian city with a Williams car sporting special colors. The light blue and orange of the American oil company Gulf Oil will dress the car of the British brand, a partner of Williams since the beginning of last season.
This collaboration will take place notably in the context of the first anniversary of the American company’s establishment on Brazilian soil. However, the statement does not mention the use of this livery for the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend scheduled for November 1st to 3rd.
In the context of the ongoing partnership between Williams Racing and Gulf Oil, Alex Albon will navigate the streets of São Paulo on September 29, 2024 at the wheel of the FW45 during a show run organized as part of the upcoming Gulf Speed Festival, the British team’s press release said.
A livery already used last season
Williams fans were able to admire this special livery last season. The British team had even asked them to choose between 4 different liveries as part of their partnership. Over 180,000 votes were received and Williams sported this look at 3 Grand Prix events, in Singapore, Japan, and Bahrain.
The oil company usually associates its colors with car races. McLaren, which had a sponsorship contract between 2020 and 2022, had showcased these colors in Monaco in 2021. The sky blue and orange also dressed the legendary Ford GT40 when it won at Le Mans in 1969.
No information on the color of the car during the Brazilian Grand Prix.
This announcement from Williams only concerns the festival taking place ahead of the Grand Prix. Therefore, the Sao Paulo Grand Prix is not expected to feature a special livery for Williams.
