Little certainty for Aston Martin, RB and Sauber at Singapore GP
Haas and Williams seem to have regained their form in recent weeks. Not so for Aston Martin, Racing Bulls and Sauber. Lance Stroll, Yuki Tsunoda and Valtteri Bottas are expecting another tricky weekend at the Singapore Grand Prix.

The honorable positions are highly valued in Formula 1 behind the leading quartet (McLaren, Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes). Some teams are struggling, as is the case with Sauber, which has still not scored any points after the 18th round of the championship.
Valtteri Bottas does not expect a miracle with Sauber this weekend: “It’s not an easy weekend ahead of us, we will do our best and you never know,” he adds. Despite his lack of results (no points in the championship), the Finn feels confident about his driving. “I feel like I’m driving better than at Mercedes, but it’s not so visible,” he said.

The 35-year-old driver lists the deficits of his team and relies on changes in the coming months: « We are too sensitive to certain factors such as driving, turning conditions. We can’t change things overnight, delays can be several months. […] We are not at the level of some of the biggest teams in terms of staff. I think that in the future, there will be big changes.
Tsunoda and Stroll are waiting for improvements.
Forced to retire in the last two Grand Prix, Yuki Tsunoda expects the recent modifications made to the Racing Bulls’ floor to be effective in Singapore: « The new floor we introduced in Monza will work here. It’s better at low speed, like in Baku. But we have to think about it, because in Monza, I wasn’t quite comfortable in high-speed corners.

If Fernando Alonso finished in a strong 6th position last weekend, Lance Stroll has not made it into the Top 10 of a race for the past five rounds (10th in the Hungarian Grand Prix, editor’s note). The Canadian still announces being eager to be in Singapore to try to raise the bar. Looking forward to seeing the evolution of Aston Martin for the upcoming seasons: [Adrian Newey] is the person who has been most successful in building cars in our sport and it’s an exciting chapter for our team, also with the new people arriving.
