Williams: 97 million euros loss in 2023
Williams has experienced a complicated year in 2023, with a turnover that dropped to 147 million euros and losses reaching 97 million euros. However, these results are linked to a strategy aimed at improving its performance and ensuring its long-term financial strength.

Williams went through a financially challenging year in 2023. Its revenue dropped to 147.3 million euros, compared to 165.7 million the previous year. Furthermore, the post-tax loss increased significantly, reaching 97.7 million euros compared to 20.7 million in 2022. Although these figures may seem alarming, they are part of a long-term investment strategy.
A strategy oriented towards the future
Williams has chosen to continue investing heavily in its infrastructure and technology to improve its performance on the track. These expenses are essential to allow the team to regain its competitiveness within the championship. Management was aware that these losses would be inevitable, but they consider them a necessary step in building a stronger and more sustainable team.
Sell assets to balance the finances
To help balance its finances, Williams sold assets totaling €21 million, generating a profit of €4 million. Despite the decrease in its net assets, from €133.8 million in 2022 to €77.8 million in 2023, the team remains in a good financial position to continue its long-term projects.
Towards a return to the summits.
Williams’ goal is clear: to return among the best F1 teams. To achieve this, the team must find a balance between on-track performance and financial health.
The leaders firmly believe that the investments made in 2023 will bear fruit in the long term, allowing them to regain a prominent position in the championship.
