Ticket sales for the US Grand Prix are increasing this year
The organizers of the United States Grand Prix in Texas have noted an increase in ticket sales this year. The main reason would be that Verstappen is no longer winning all the races, which brings back excitement to Formula 1 and attracts fans once again.

Formula 1 has taken a surprising turn this season, which seems to be bringing joy back to the fans. While the beginning of the season was mostly dominated by Red Bull, who had only missed out on one victory in the first five races (in Melbourne, when Verstappen had to retire due to a loose screw in the brake ducts), the rest of the season has delivered many twists and turns. The most significant one concerns the Austrian team and its driver Max Verstappen, who have not won a race since the Spanish Grand Prix last June. A very long drought that seems to have reignited interest in the sport.
More ticket sales since Red Bull stopped winning.
This is what Bobby Epstein, president of the Circuit of the Americas, whose Grand Prix will take place from October 18 to 20, reports. The American explains that since the Dutchman stopped winning, sales have gone back up, whereas they were not very high at the beginning of the season when Red Bull was constantly winning. “Our ticket sales really took off when Max stopped winning and the competition intensified. The audience is attentive, and I think it’s exciting to see the season unfold the way it is,” Epstein told the American media Racer.
Many events organized during the weekend to attract even more fans
Epstein, who feared seeing empty stands as he watched the season unfold, now believes he can beat the record for overall attendance at the circuit, thanks in particular to the events organized around the Grand Prix, such as the Eminem concert and the American football match between the Texas Longhorns and the Georgia Bulldogs.
« We expect the public to still be numerous, probably around what it has been the last two years. I think that, regardless of the attendance record for a ‘sprint’ race on a Saturday, we should surpass it, because Eminem has surpassed Taylor Swift. I think we will have a weekend like we’ve never had in terms of overall excitement and things to do. So, 130,000 to 150,000 people will be present for the Saturday sprint race. The fact that we have a high-level college football game that Saturday will make this weekend an extraordinary event. »
A USA Grand Prix, however without Daniel Ricciardo.
Unfortunately, this general celebration will take place without Daniel Ricciardo, the Australian having been dismissed by Racing Bulls after the Singapore Grand Prix. A tough blow considering the popularity of the former Red Bull driver in the United States, but this does not deter Bobby Epstein, who would like to make him a future ambassador for the race in Austin. « Daniel could have as much impact outside the car as he did in the Grand Prix. Daniel is very, very beloved in Texas, and I think he enjoys it here. So I hope he will make himself more available for the fans than he would if he had obligations in the car… I hope he will continue to come here, because there are many people who would like to shake his hand, get an autograph or take a photo. Just see him in town. We will keep him very busy. »
With such suspense in the championship this season, the Grand Prix in Austin should provide us with a great show and could prove to be decisive in the title race.
