The 19ᵉ rendez-vous de la saison takes place in Austin this weekend, at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) for the United States Grand Prix.
After a long break of four weeks, which is quite unusual in Formula 1, the drivers are once again coming together to battle it out on the track.
Present on the calendar since 2012, COTA stands out for its first uphill turn, where the track widens as it approaches the corner. The slow corners and the numerous changes of direction guarantee an intense battle and give the track a particularly technical character.
Like last year, the United States Grand Prix will host a sprint race on Saturday, the fourth of the six present on the schedule this season.
This edition will be marked by circuit modifications as the Grand Prix organizers have taken measures to try to reduce the track limit issues that sparked controversy last year.
As a result, the asphalt borders have been narrowed by 1.5 meters in several turns, cameras have been installed at strategic locations, and the exit of turn 11 has been modified. These changes promise a spectacular race while avoiding reigniting debates around track limits.

While Max Verstappen has regained pace during the last Grand Prix in Singapore, the question arises regarding his chances of repeating last year’s victory.
