Verstappen: “Just like old times!
Max Verstappen is smiling again in Austin. After yesterday's pole, he confirmed his dominance in the Sprint. And he's much happier with his Red Bull's performance.

After several complicated weeks, Red Bull seems to have found the keys to regain performance. Already during yesterday’s Sprint qualifying sessions, Max Verstappen somewhat surprised by taking the lead. This was confirmed during today’s Sprint race as he was never threatened throughout the race.
What he just said as he got out of his single-seater: (e) Not too bad. It feels like the good old days! I am very happy. » Unlike the previous races, the championship leader did not have to look over his shoulder but could focus on himself: (e) Finally, we can fight again! We have more performance, I can push harder. »
Interviewed by us during the press conference, he declared that he was not worried when he saw Lando Norris emerge in second position right after the first turn: « I thought he had made a good start but I focused on my own pace.
He remains undefeated in the Sprint exercise this season and has 11 wins in 16 opportunities while it is a weekend format that he does not particularly like. For him, the most important thing is to come out of this first half of the weekend with two extra points ahead of his main rival, Lando Norris.
