Max Verstappen elected driver of the day in Brazil

At the end of the 69 laps, it is Max Verstappen who triumphs in a difficult race, in the rain. The Alpine cars also caused a surprise on the podium. Esteban Ocon in 2nd and Pierre Gasly in 3rd delivered a solid performance. Nevertheless, it is the Dutch driver who is elected driver of the day in Sao Paulo after an impressive comeback.

One could say that this Grand Prix weekend in Brazil will be memorable. We were not expecting to have a full race after the numerous race interruptions. After five retirements and many intense moments, it was Max Verstappen with his Red Bull who came out on top.

The Dutch driver who started from 17th position after a failed qualification this morning, managed to find the keys to finish in first place in the race. He was able to deal with the race decisions that caught out other drivers, like poleman Lando Norris (6th).

The Red Bull driver, who struggled in the last few weekends, is back in the championship race with his 25 points earned in Brazil, he is 62 points behind his McLaren runner-up, Lando Norris. There are only three Grand Prix left this 2024 season. Max Verstappen could be crowned World Champion at the end of the Grand Prix in Las Vegas, if he finishes the race ahead of Lando Norris.

See you in two weeks in Las Vegas to find out if Max Verstappen will join the exclusive club of quadruple Formula 1 World Champions.
