Oscar Piastri received a 5-second penalty at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The stewards decided this after judging that the Australian from McLaren had made… a false start. It appears that he may have been ahead of his starting line. Upon reviewing the start again, the nuance seems subtle to us, but the decision has been made.
In 8th place, Piastri is currently in 15th place in the 13th lap of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, after stopping at the pits. But the race is still very young.
