Official: The last edition of the Dutch Grand Prix is scheduled for 2026
Formula 1 and the organizer of the Dutch Grand Prix have agreed to an extension. But the single-seaters will not come after 2026, the date of their last visit to the circuit located by the sea.

A programmed end. There are only two editions left of the Dutch Grand Prix before it disappears again. On Wednesday, December 4 in the morning, Formula 1 confirmed that the last visit of the single-seaters to Zandvoort was scheduled for 2026.
A sprint race in 2025
If this sounds like bad news, the discipline’s leaders and the race’s promoter have agreed for the F1 to come in 2025 and 2026. The final edition will also be accompanied by a sprint race.
« All parties collaborated positively to find a solution for the extension of the event, whether it be on an alternating basis or annually, and we respect the promoters’ decision to end it in 2026. I would like to thank the entire team of the Dutch Grand Prix and the municipality of Zandvoort, who have been fantastic partners for Formula 1 »,” emphasizes Stefano Domenicali, CEO of F1.
Only six editions
The future of the Dutch Grand Prix was very uncertain, with the contract expiring this year. This small extension will allow us to enjoy a little longer this circuit located in the dunes north of Amsterdam. The event returned to the calendar in 2021, 36 years after its last appearance, where a certain Niki Lauda achieved his final F1 victory.
