8,2 km/h, this is Isack Hadjar’s speeding during Free Practice 1 of the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix. The driver, on exceptional trials with Red Bull, of which he is a member of the training center, drove much faster than the authorized limit of 80 km/h.

The FIA is uncompromising about safety in the pits, where personnel work in large numbers and with very little protection during Free Practice, unlike during qualifying or races where helmets are mandatory.

The Oracle Red Bull Racing team is fined 900 euros. Car 37 exceeded the speed limit in the pit lane set at 80 km/h, with an excess of 8.2 km/h, explains the statement.

Isack Hadjar set the 15th fastest time in Free Practice 1, four tenths behind his Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, today.
