You’re going to have to add zeros to the check. In Paris, on February 4th and 5th, RM Sotheby’s will hold a new auction. Very often, beautiful collector’s items are sold. This one will be no exception.

In addition to the Williams FW20 of Jacques Villeneuve, it will be possible to acquire a Lotus E21 from the 2013 season. This single-seater is still equipped with a 2.4-liter V8. It was used by Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean. The two men achieved six podiums with this chassis: Germany, Hungary, Korea, Japan, India, and United States. It is estimated at €450,000.

A Lotus F1.

« Proposed directly by the BWT Alpine F1 team, whose DNA traces back to Toleman, the E21-04 chassis is presented in a static, non-functional version; it is both a spectacular and historic example of this last generation of naturally aspirated F1 cars », notes RM Sotheby’s.

Another exceptional product, a helmet signed by Michael Schumacher. This one dates back to the 1992 season when he was racing with Benetton. It was signed after the Belgian Grand Prix, the date of his first F1 victory. Bell, the manufacturer, confirms that the German indeed wore it during this season. It is expected to sell for around €50,000.

One of the engines used by Scuderia in 1998 to power the F300 will also be among the many lots. The latter is signed by the seven-time world champion. Estimate: €80,000.

Several combinations

Finally, two of his suits used during his time at Ferrari will be offered. One from 2002 and the other from 2003. Their estimated value ranges between €30,000 and €50,000. Another suit, from Ayrton Senna this time, is also for sale. Worn in 1988, it is expected to sell for €60,000.
