Lewis Hamilton stated that he couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming year in his first message as a Ferrari driver. The seven-time world champion praised the power of reinvention as he embarks on this new chapter of his career.
After a 12-year collaboration with Mercedes, which ended in late 2024, Lewis Hamilton is ready to embark on his adventure with Scuderia. He updated his LinkedIn profile with his new role in the Italian team and shared an inspiring message about what 2025 might hold for him, promising to make it a memorable year.

Accompanied by a photo of himself as a child, sporting a red helmet, Lewis Hamilton wrote: « I couldn’t be more excited for the year ahead. Joining Scuderia Ferrari makes me think a lot. »

The Briton also added the hashtag « new job » with emojis representing a red car and a heart. This message marks the beginning of the Ferrari era for Lewis Hamilton, aged 39, who has signed a multi-year contract with the team. This decision, announced in February 2024, surprised the F1 world.
Although it is not yet clear when Lewis Hamilton will drive a Ferrari for the first time, the team director, Fred Vasseur, recently confirmed that: « We will have some test days with the TPC [tests of previous cars] and Pirelli tire tests before Bahrain. »
The 2025 Ferrari car will be unveiled on February 19, a day after the official launch of the season which will be held at the O2 in London to celebrate the 75th anniversary of F1.
