Alessandro Alunni Bravi joins the McLaren team

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, former Sauber team representative, has been appointed Chief Business Affairs Officer at McLaren.

After having **left his role at Sauber** following **the arrival of Jonathan Wheatley** as the new team director, he quickly found a new position in the F1 paddock.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi will join the executive team of McLaren Racing and work under the direction of CEO Zak Brown starting February 1, 2025.

A new position

In this newly created position, he will assume executive leadership responsibilities across various aspects of McLaren Racing’s commercial affairs, including legal areas, driver development, driver contract management, as well as relationships with rights holders and governing bodies.

He will also oversee McLaren’s driver development program, taking over from Stephanie Carlin, who remains with the team.

Zak Brown declared: « I am thrilled that Alessandro is joining us with his extensive expertise and experience in motorsport. In addition to managing our legal and driver development functions, he will provide invaluable support on all aspects related to driver business management, governance activities in our various racing series, and relationships with rights holders and governing bodies. We look forward to welcoming him to the McLaren Racing family in February. I would also like to thank Steve for his contribution to McLaren Racing’s success over the past two seasons and wish him the best for the future. »

Alessandro Alunni Bravi added: « McLaren is a team I have always admired, and it is therefore particularly moving for me to now work with such an incredible group of people.
