Lewis Hamilton speaks out for the first time since his crash with Ferrari
Lewis Hamilton has issued his first public statement since his crash with the Ferrari during testing at the Barcelona circuit.
Lewis Hamilton expressed himself on social media to share his excitement ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, opening race of the 2025 season and his first event with Ferrari in his career.

An accident during testing in Barcelona
Adapting to his new team experienced a slight setback this week when he crashed a 2023 Ferrari, prematurely ending his third day of testing at the Barcelona circuit. This also prevented Charles Leclerc from driving as planned later in the day on Wednesday.
The crash of Lewis Hamilton was described as minor, he emerged unscathed, and Ferrari is not worried about this incident. The first race can’t come soon enough, he simply posted, his first statement since the accident.
He also shared a series of never-before-seen photos of his early days with Ferrari. This year, the Briton aims for an eighth world title, an absolute record, with Ferrari. His association with the Scuderia unites the most successful driver in F1 history with the sport’s most decorated team.
This battle will begin in Australia, from March 14 to 16. A Grand Prix where Lewis Hamilton – just like Ferrari – has historically shone. But before he can race, Lewis Hamilton will get back behind the wheel as early as next week.
The two Ferrari drivers will participate in Pirelli tire tests, with the 2024 model of the car, at the Barcelona circuit.
