Aston Martin will present its new F1 on February 23
The British team has just announced the launch date of its new car. It will be unveiled on February 23, just three days before the start of winter testing.

A new single-seater officialized for 2025. After Williams, Haas, Red Bull, Ferrari, and more recently Mercedes, Aston Martin announced via a press release that it will unveil its new car, named AMR25, on February 23. A date that is not insignificant as it is only three days before the start of the first day of winter testing.
An online presentation.
This presentation will therefore take place directly from Bahrain and will be simple as announced by the British team. Some photos and videos will be published on social media as well as on the team’s website. This follows the decision of F1 to unveil the liveries of the 10 teams on the same day, February 18th, at the O2 Arena in London to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 championship. On this occasion, Lawrence Stroll’s team will unveil the brand’s new colors.
After the online launch of the new Aston Martin on February 23, the team’s two drivers, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, will hit the track the following day for a filming day before officially taking to the track two days later for winter testing.
An internal reshuffle at Aston Martin
This year will mark a new era for Aston Martin. The team based in Silverstone has completely reorganized its structure in recent months, starting with a change in the team principal. Mike Krack, who held this position since 2022, has been replaced by Andy Cowell, former head of the Mercedes engine department between 2013 and 2020. The Luxembourger will still hold an important role as he becomes responsible for the team on track. At the same time, Dan Fallows, former head of aerodynamics at Red Bull, was dismissed from his position as technical director last November and was replaced by Enrico Cardile, former head of aerodynamics at Ferrari.
Nevertheless, the most notable development remains the arrival of Adrian Newey. The former Red Bull engineer will join the British team starting in March and bring all his technical expertise to a team that has been in great need of it for several months.
Indeed, after a fantastic start to the 2023 season (six podiums in the first eight races), the team gradually fell back in the rankings, to the point where they are now struggling to score points (only two finishes in the points in the last six Grand Prix of 2024). While Adrian Newey has not been able to work on the 2025 car, his experience and talent will be valuable assets for Aston Martin for the end of the season but especially for 2026, where they hope to take advantage of the new regulations to return to the top of Formula 1.
A team just as committed to endurance in 2025
However, that’s not all. Indeed, the team based in Silverstone took the opportunity to unveil its new cars in the WEC and IMSA. For the first time since 2021, Aston Martin is returning to the endurance championship and wants to maximize its chances through the launch of its Valkyrie AMR-LMH, a single-seater initially designed by Adrian Newey. It will be equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 engine with the aim of winning the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race, a race the brand hasn’t won since 1959.
The team will also participate this year in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and will sport a dark blue and yellow livery. These revelations demonstrate Aston Martin’s commitment even outside of F1 to make it the greatest brand in motorsport.
