Miami Grand Prix Awarded 2024 Promoter of the Year Trophy

Seven awards were given in total, recognizing the excellence and innovation of the Grand Prix organizers. It was the Miami Grand Prix that won the promoter of the year award in Formula 1 for its 2024 edition.

At the end of an evening that brought together the 24 Grand Prix leaders, seven awards were presented in recognition of the contributions made by the promoters throughout the year. Various areas were honored: sustainability and environment, entertainment and events, and fan community engagement. Awards were also given to honor certain F1 legends.

Promoter of the Year: Miami Grand Prix

It is the Miami Grand Prix that was chosen for having organized the “most significant event in 2024” according to F1. They acknowledge that this promoter has upheld the values and mission of F1, namely offering the sporting and entertainment spectacle that aims to be the greatest in the world.

Tom Garfinkel, managing partner of the Miami Grand Prix, stated: « On behalf of Stephen Ross and our team in Miami, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Formula 1 and Stefano Domenicali for the honor of being named Promoter of the Year. It is a great lesson in humility to be recognized among so many great promoters who have welcomed us into a sport we love and who have set a standard that inspires us. I am very proud of the team that works so hard to make this event a great event, especially our president, Tyler Epp. We hope to continue to raise the bar and promote the growth of Formula 1 in the United States. »

The best event show: Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

For having presented performances by Teddy Swims, Maroon 5, and Muse, followed by a spectacular fireworks display closing the season. This award is given to the promoter who offered the most remarkable off-circuit event show, including shows, concerts, and other entertainment during the Grand Prix period.

The best experience for fans: Singapore Grand Prix

The Singapore Grand Prix was awarded the prize for the best fan experience. This award recognizes the work done with the five entertainment stages set up around the city, surrounding the circuit, as well as its cutting-edge communication system.

The best pre-Grand Prix show: Mexican Grand Prix

The trophy for the best opening and closing show was awarded to the Mexican Grand Prix for its driver presentation before the race and its show featuring mariachis and local dancers. The organizers took advantage of the magnificent stadium to seat the drivers in vintage cars for a parade, followed by a multitude of Mexican dancers in outfits as beautiful as the next.

The most innovative environmental and societal operation: Grand Prix of Belgium.

This distinction is awarded to the promoter who has implemented the most innovative initiative related to the environment and society. That is, the most environmentally sustainable. Belgium, with its low-carbon transport solutions, has a recycling approach that ensures all waste is redirected to an appropriate sorting center. The circuit has also established a bridge dedicated to biodiversity for the protection of local plants and animals, allowing them not to be hindered by the circuit’s fences.

The Community Changemaker award recipient: Australian Grand Prix

This award is given to the promoter who has implemented a program aimed at removing barriers for minorities and engaging the next generation. Australia received a distinction for its comprehensive approach to social impact, which includes local community involvement, actions in favor of accessibility, and highlighting local culture.

Pole position award: Rachel Rong (Chinese Grand Prix)

This reward concerns a member of a team of promoters who made significant efforts in 2024 to contribute to organizing an extraordinary event.

At the end of the evening, Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali took the opportunity to congratulate everyone for their work and contribution to the season’s success: “Our promoters provide an incredible setting for our sport, and their hard work, creativity, and innovation are essential to Formula 1’s success. As the sport continues to grow, we have a responsibility to deliver bigger, better, and more sustainable events to our fans, a challenge that I know motivates our promoter teams every day. Congratulations to Miami, as well as all the other winners and nominees. I can’t wait to see the incredible work you do this year to take your events to the next level.”

Other personalities received trophies, including the Legends Trophies. No statement was released about these trophies, but Jean Alesi received his.
