Isack Hadjar crashes out of the Australian Grand Prix formation lap
Isack Hadjar made a mistake at the first turn of the formation lap at the Australian Grand Prix. He was forced to retire.

Terrible Formula 1 debut for Isack Hadjar. The French rookie from Visa CashApp was caught out during the formation lap, right at the second corner. He seemed to have applied a little too much throttle in his single-seater and skidded on a rain-soaked track. Unfortunately for him, that’s unforgiving: his car was damaged against the safety barrier, and he had to retire. He started in 11th position.
This is therefore a first race that wouldn’t even take place for the Frenchman who was supposed to make his debut at Albert Park. Unsurprisingly, the disappointment is immense for the driver. The images are harsh: he is in tears, helmet still fixed on his head. Anthony Hamilton, Lewis’s father, quickly comes to comfort him in the paddock. What terrible bad luck for the rookie… Courage, Isack.
