Bahrain Grand Prix: Piastri on pole, Norris only sixth

However, his teammate Lando Norris, the championship leader, could do no better than sixth place after a slide in the first corner of his final fast lap. The Australian driver outpaced George Russell (Mercedes) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) in a session also marked by Max Verstappen’s technical issues.
