Nico Hülkenberg disqualified in Bahrain
The German should be disqualified from the Bahrain Grand Prix results for excessive skid wear.
A new disqualification in sight? That seems more than likely. After the three drivers were relegated in China, another man could face the same fate in Bahrain.
Nico Hülkenberg was summoned to the stewards shortly after the Grand Prix. During the technical inspections of the cars, excessive wear on the rear skids of his Sauber was identified.
« As this thickness is less than 9 mm, a minimum thickness is required », states Jo Bauer’s press release.
For the moment, no sanction has been imposed on the German driver, but given this initial statement, there is no doubt that he will be disqualified over the course of the evening. The Sauber driver was summoned at 9:45 PM local time in Bahrain, which is 8:45 PM in France.
