Rain expected to disrupt Miami Grand Prix

Three hours before the start of the Miami Grand Prix, rain once again appeared over the circuit. It was likely to disrupt the race.

As yesterday, the day in Miami began with heat and humidity in the air. Around 1 PM (local time, 7 PM in France), the rain made a noticeable return, just as the F1 Academy drivers were lining up on the grid for the second race of the weekend.

There is a strong likelihood that the rain will continue for a good part of the afternoon, which might mix things up for the Grand Prix. With the ambient heat, the track should dry quickly if the rain stops falling. We could therefore find ourselves in a Sprint race scenario with a race starting on wet conditions, before switching to slicks.
