F1 Academy: Miami Race 2 cancelled
The rain returned, and much heavier than yesterday, forcing the cancellation of the race.
The drivers positioned themselves on the grid and completed a formation lap under pouring rain, accompanied by the safety car.
After several long minutes, as the weather did not improve, the FIA decided to cancel the race without rescheduling.

The 18 women were ready to battle, especially the Red Bull team against Doriane Pin. « It’s going to be a very difficult race », Chambers said. The Frenchwoman gained a lot of confidence in race 1 and is reassured about her performance. « I hope we’ll achieve the same result tomorrow, or even better. We might have an opportunity at the start, but we have the pace to be ahead. » Unfortunately, she will have to settle for just one good result.
After Race 1, Lloyd received a 3-place grid penalty for his collision that caused his retirement in the first corner and slightly damaged the rear of Ferreira’s Racing Bulls.
Chong also received the same penalty for the incident with Canadian Ciconte in turn 11.
We will find the young drivers of the women’s series the weekend of June 13 to 15 in Montreal during the Canadian Grand Prix.
