McLaren has unveiled a new version of its chrome livery, which will be used by Lando Norris and the championship leader, Oscar Piastri, at the British Grand Prix this weekend.

A tribute home kit

This livery pays tribute to the iconic chrome look of the McLarens from the mid-2000s and early 2010s, driven at the time by names like Kimi Räikkönen, Juan Pablo Montoya, and the current Ferrari driver, Lewis Hamilton.

The revelation took place during a special McLaren Racing Live event held at Trafalgar Square in London, attended by Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, development driver and F2 championship leader Alex Dunne, as well as several members of the British team.

The team had already used a chrome livery at the 2023 British Grand Prix. Other recently used special liveries include the Triple Crown paint at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix, and the Riviera style seen this year in Monaco and Spain.
