A first time driving an F1
Holder of a Super Licence since June, the Formula 2 driver will make his first appearance at an F1 weekend by participating in the first free practice session of the British Grand Prix this Friday.
Aged 17, Arvid Lindblad says he is eager to get started and describes this experience as an incredible opportunity, having been part of the Red Bull Junior Programme for several years.
« I am very excited about the idea of driving in FP1. Taking part in an official F1 session will be a very special moment », said Arvid Lindblad.
It’s something I’ve dreamed of for a long time. Making my F1 debut with Oracle Red Bull Racing, after almost five years in the Junior Programme, is really something special for me. It’s an incredible opportunity, and I’m extremely grateful to the entire Oracle Red Bull Racing team. And making my F1 debut as a British driver, on a British circuit, in front of a British audience, will be truly exceptional.
My objective is to quickly adapt to the car, provide good data to Yuki to help him over the weekend, steer the team in the right direction, and try to be fast too! I can’t wait to be on the track, he states.
Arvid Lindblad is currently racing for the Campos Racing team in Formula 2, where he holds the 6th place in the drivers’ championship with 79 points, two victories, and one pole position to his name this season.
Before that, he had finished fourth in the Formula 3 championship in 2024, after a notable rise through the junior formulas, crowned notably by a victory at the Macau F4 World Cup at the end of 2023.
